My Mission

Welcome! I am a licensed School Counselor in TN, a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in NC, and Substance Abuse Counselor in Training in AR. I completed my master’s degree at Liberty University in 2017. I have about 30 years of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds in a variety of roles in the schools, clinical mental health, and youth ministry. I also have clinical mental health experience with military soldiers suffering from PTSD, substance abuse, and anger management issues. My theoretical orientation is grounded in process experiential theory which integrates attachment, person-centered, Gestalt, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. My research interests have focused primarily upon mindfulness-based interventions for PTSD and creative arts personal growth for overcoming fear and shame.
